Schools have been requested by the Government to encourage parents to make every effort to ensure their child attends school on a regular basis. Headteachers are allowed to give permission for up to 10 days holiday during term time but we are told this should be for exceptionable circumstances. Requests for absence from school need to be in writing to the Headteacher using a holiday/extended leave form obtained from the school office. KS1 & KS2 SATs along with optional SATs for years 3, 4 and 5 take place in May.
