Y1 Friday computing!
Year 1 enjoy computing on a Friday afternoon. We are getting much better at logging in and we have been exploring Purple Mash.
Y4 Play Top Trumps
Year 4 have been looking at food chains and discovering what sort of animals are predators, prey and producers. We made Top Trump cards to think about these characteristics.. and then had fun playing with them!
Year 5 Investigate Electrical Conductors
This afternoon, Year 5 investigated the best material to make a switch for an electrical circuit. They cooperated well in groups to make a circuit and adapted their circuit to investigate the properties of different materials.
Year 5 say, "No!"
As part of their PSHE learning, Year 5 have been practising saying, "No!" assertively to negative peer pressure. They acted out different scenarios and showed how they would respond to what their friend was asking them to do.
Viking Invasion!
Year 5 became Viking raiders this afternoon! There was some raiding, there was some invasion of monasteries, a fair bit of fighting and a lot of fun!
We made a timeline, recreated some key events as freeze frames and learnt a lot about the Viking invasion of Britain.

Year 5 lead Prayer and Liturgy

Y6 Maths Carousel
Problem solving were the name of the game this morning, as Year 6 pitted their wits against a range of maths problems and challenges - that they enjoyed and found frustratingly tricky in equal measures!!
Y1 Maths Morning
This morning we had a maths carousel which meant Y1 got to visit Reception again, and also got to see Year 2! In our class, we had lots of shops set up and we had to put the right amount of money for each object.

Year 6 Rosary Challenge
Year 6 have been enjoying undertaking the Mark 10 Mission Rosary Challenge this week.

Y6 Shelter & Fire Building
Year 6 braved the cold and rain this morning to build their shelters and light their fires. Great fun had by all and lots of practical skills learnt.

Year 3 had a great time this afternoon learning how to build shelters and use flints to light fires. Greg, who ran the workshop was particularly impressed by the classes teamwork and imagination.
