Class of 2029 (Y3)

This week in Year 3 we have enjoyed using the Geoboards to help us learn some shapes. We have learnt about quadrilateral shapes and shapes with right angles. We worked in pairs to make some different shapes. 

On Monday Year 3 went on a local walk around our school. We kept a look out for different types of houses, any shops and we even spotted a cat! This is part of our Geography this term learning all about what is around us - we also took some pictures for our art lessons. 

We had lots of fun this morning during our maths carousel. Year 4,5 and 6 visited Miss McShane to play some times table bingo whilst Year 3 went around the other classes to play some maths games. 

Year 3 enjoyed playing Wheelchair Basketball this morning. We worked in teams to sore points, we had so much fun!

Year 3 have had an amazing day in the rain and wind! We enjoyed learning lots of new things and working as a team. We had to collect apples and we pressed them to make apple juice and we got to toast some with some brown sugar over a fire. 

Year 3 have had lots of fun this morning playing maths games. They took it in turns in pairs to collect enough tens to make one hundred! 

Year 3 have had a great day enjoying some different mindfulness activities. We took part in some outdoor resilience games, mindfulness colouring and some yoga.
