Fairytales with a Twist

We’ve been writing our own fairytales that have a twist this week. Today we finished our stories and shared them with each other.

Riddles in Year 2

Writing in Year 2

Year 2 have been writing their very own chapters for Wind in the Willows. Today they re read, edited and added the end of their chapters. It’s great to see the excitement and confidence in their own writing. Well done year 2, great work!

Year 2 at Blackpool Zoo

Lancasters BIG SING

Year 2 had the most fantastic time at Lancasters Big Sing. The children (and teachers) had learnt 14 different songs with actions and props. They joined 10 different primary schools and performed the songs to a LIVE audience….with a LIVE band! The children and staff will remember the experience…

Measuring in Year 2

Year 2 have had a fantastic afternoon measuring. The children had to choose between tape measures, rulers and trundle wheels to measure different objects. The team work and mathematical conversations were great to be a part of! Lots of fun and learning has happened in Year 2 today.

Pizza making in Year 2

Year 2 have had a wonderful day. It all started with planning and designing their own pizzas. After lunch they all had the opportunity to use vegetables to makes and cook their very own pizza. It was the best pizza ever according to some members of the class.

Amazing Author Visit

What a fabulous afternoon we have had. Diving into our imaginations to create magical kingdoms with a real life author Sean Perkins! The hall was filled with; chatter, laughter and fun! It was a great afternoon for everyone!

Year 2 getting ready for The Big Sing

Year 2 have had a fantastic afternoon getting ready for Lancaster’s Big Sing! The children showed off their beautiful voices and were enthusiastic when learning the actions. It was a great way to spark the excitement for the real thing in March!
