Class of 2024 (Y6)

Year 6 really enjoyed a cool co-ordinate maths lesson this week, remembering to "go along the hallway...then up or down stairs".

What an amazing time Year 6 have had this afternoon!  Thank you so much to everyone who helped make such wonderful costumes - the children had a great day and really enjoyed exploring the delights of Ancient Egypt!  Absolutely FANTASTIC!!

Year 6 said a heartfelt "Goodbye" to their guitars today, as they played a cracking concert with Mr Lupton for the last time. Their confidence and ability has really grown over the past several terms and they have all created memories to last a lifetime. 

Year 6 had a great time performing their Mummy Ancient Egyptian poem.

Year 6 strutted their stuff this week as they showed off their hard-work in designing and making their own Vivienne Westwood-inspired T-Shirt.

To finish the art subject they got together to shoot their own fashion show video - look out for the edited version soon!

Year 6 celebrated their class Mass today with Fr Steve as they explored the conversion of St Paul.

It was beautiful and intimate to celebrate the sacrament of the Eucharist in class, whilst the children took turns with the reading or saying the bidding prayers that they had written…

Year 6 really enjoyed learning all about the wonderful world of work this week as we met 8 volunteers that told us all about what they do and why they do it. It was great to learn so much and we are grateful to everyone for giving up their time and answering our questions so…

Year 6 snuck out of class and enjoyed the snow for a short while, as you can clearly see!

Year 6 have started their PSHE Wealth & Work Week by looking at PAYE and payslips.

They learnt all about tax and even decided how best to spend the money raised by Income Tax!

This week's art lesson saw Year 6 finalising their T-shirt designs before starting the manufacturing process! Inspired by Vivienne Westwood, they will model their final products in a fabulous fashion show...watch this space!

Year 6 had another fun Yoga session this week as they relaxed, stretched and breathed their way to relaxation!

Year 6 had a great start to 2024 and completely love their visit by The Tanzii TV twins!

We worked out, stretched, lunged, star-jumped and planked our way to a new us in 2024!
