Class of 2024 (Y6)

Inspired by their recent zoo trip, Year 6 held an amazing animal exhibition to showcase their crazy creations. What a talented bunch they are!

Year 6 had a real blast last week at Blackpool Zoo. We met the elephants, got up close and personal with the orangutans and chilled with the camels!

Problem solving were the name of the game this morning, as Year 6 pitted their wits against a range of maths problems and challenges - that they enjoyed and found frustratingly tricky in equal measures!!

Year 6 have been sharpening up their soccer skills this half-term with Dan Lofthouse from OLCC! Go Year 6!

Year 6 have been enjoying undertaking the Mark 10 Mission Rosary Challenge this week.

October is the month of the Holy Rosary and your challenge is to pray a decade of this great prayer every weekday, at school or home.

A decade of the Holy Rosary is:

Year 6 braved the cold and rain this morning to build their shelters and light their fires.  Great fun had by all and lots of practical skills learnt.

Do YOU know why a polar bear has wide feet? Or a camel?

Do YOU know how a cactus protects itself against the blazing heat of the desert?

Well, Year 6 might be the ones to ask as they have been busy exploring animal adaptation!

We were lucky enough to have a visitor in school from NISCU to present a whole school Worship and Assembly.

Year 6 really enjoyed it whole heartedly!

Year 6 really enjoyed their Lego Coding workshop this week!  We loved building our robots and then coding them to battle each other.
