Class of 2030 (Y1)

Year 1 have covered many topics this year in Computing, including spreadsheets, coding, pictograms and more. This term we are recapping over everything, and here we are making posters for online safety.

Y1 love playing on the glockenspiels! We have enjoyed learning the notes for 'Your Imagination', a song we have learnt to sing in our music lessons.

Year 1 spent this windy Friday creating some art for the Jubilee. We put a dove (as a symbol of hope) flying with three friends (holding hands to show kindness) towards a better world. We really enjoying using watercolours for the backdrop. We hope you like what we made!

Year 1 had a great afternoon being scientists. We had to investigate waterproof materials. Everyone made a prediction and then tested the materials to see if they were correct. Fabulous team work and wonderful scientific language all afternoon. 

Year 1 had a great morning at Judges Lodgings. We experienced a strict Victorian class, and then played with lots of old toys. It was lots of fun!

Year 1 have been enjoying learning Little Red Riding Hood through talk for writing. The children have enjoyed thinking about actions and pictures for the words. Wait and see our photos of the class re telling the story…coming very soon!
